Eastern Michigan Campus
Up the hill from Depot Town is the campus of Eastern Michigan University with a student poplulation of 25,000 from all over the world. Visit their website at: www.emich.edu
Michigan Firehouse Museum
110 West Cross Street:   Michigan Antique Fire Equipment Preservation Group house in a fire station built in 1898 with some of the original equipment still in the building along with a display of fire fighting equipment from private collections. Admission is free, donations are greatly appreciated.

RM Classic Cars US Headquarters
Located at 17 Forrest Avenue, a block north of Depot Town, rM is one of the best known restorers of vintage automobiles in the world and have located their US offices here in Ypsilanti where they have many automobiles on display.www.rmauctions.com
Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Collection
is located at 100 and 112 East Cross Street. It is part of the Ypsilanti Historical Society and features automobiles and auto parts once produced in Ypsilanti. Its collection includes the Tucker car used in the movie "Tucker." Adjacent to and part of the museum is "The last Hudson Dealer"/Miller Motors which has a large exhibit of Hudson history. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
Yankee Air Museum
A few miles to the east and south is the famous Willow Run Airport area. The Kaiser-Frazer, Chevrolet Corvair, automobiles were all built here and the GM Hydra-matic Plant is in operation today. The Yankee Air Museum is dedicated to preserving our nation's aviation history. www.yankeeairmuseum.org
Riverside Park
This area was first settled by the Huron Indians because of the flat area along side the Huron River. Today, many car shows, the Michigan Elvis Fest and the Ypsilanti Heritage Festival take place right here in Riverside Park.
Frog Island
Across the river and connected by the Tridge (see below) is our own Frog Island, named for the "Smeets", a legendary specie of Arctic frogs which supposedly live in and around the river. In June, Frog Island hosts the Jazz festival, featuring great jazz artists from all over the U.S.
The Tridge
A wooden walkway called The Tridge circles beneath the Cross Street Bridge and connects Riverside Park to Frog Island Park. Visitors can walk from one park to the other without surfacing to street level.
